@Jim - No I have not found a solution yet.

One more attempt at pinpointing the problem has lead me to this: the problem does not exist in older mail templates.

If I convert the user's mail file to use dwa7.ntf, the calendar opens just fine. She is also able to add new entries.

But her notse client crashes again upon openeing the calendar once the her mail file is (re)converted to mail85.ntf
